Environmental Action Committee SustainabiliTEA with Gernot Wagner

Date:

Thursday, November 2, 2017, 7:00pm

Location:

PBHA Parlor Room

A rising star in environmental economics, Dr. Wagner served on the board of the Environmental Defense Fund shortly after finishing his PhD here at Harvard. He now serves as the co-Director of Harvard's Solar Geoengineering Research Program and he recently co-authored the successful book Climate Shock: The Economic Consequences of a Hotter Planet. He'll be speaking to us about the Climate Leadership Council's Carbon Dividends Plan, which you can read more about here!

The plan basically entails putting a voluntary price on carbon emissions in the private sector and then giving the funds raised back to average people.

For those of you who haven't attended a "SustainabiliTEA" before, the concept is simple. We bring in prominent environmental leaders to chat with us in an informal setting. For instance, this week, we'll have Q&A about carbon dividends over tea and cookies with Dr. Wagner.

RSVP to the Facebook Event here!

The event will start at 7pm in the PBHA Parlor Room on Thursday, November 2nd!

Hope to see you there!
