Sectioning

Neurobiology Tutorial Sign-Up Fall 2016

  • We are offering 5 tutorials this year, and each will meet once during shopping period. You can and should shop multiple tutorials.
  • The tutorial fair on August 30 (4:30 – 6PM in the Bauer Labs lobby) is not mandatory, but it may give you some idea of which tutorials you would like to shop.

Many tutorials will be full regardless of attendance during shopping week. Please consider at least 2-3 courses to ensure you get a spot!

Instructions for enrolling/sectioning for a tutorial:
** email Ryan (draft@fas.harvard.edu) for any/all questions

Step 1: Complete this survey to record your preferences.
https://harvard.az1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_bOud9ZwpAncT9zL

- Hard deadline: Weds 9/7 10:59 PM to enter your preferences
- Enter 2-3 preferences (up to 5) to ensure you get a spot.
- Entering just 1 preference will not improve your odds of getting into that class; instead there is a chance you will not get a tutorial assignment.
- In past years, >80% of students got their first or second choice.
- I will run the sectioning algorithm Weds 9/7 11 PM and email you with your approved class.
- If you want to change your preferences before the deadline, email me the changes.

Step 2: Search for and enroll in your approved tutorial course (eg, Neurobio 106)
- Request instructor permission. If you are approved for the class, you will be given permission to enroll. If you are not approved for the class, you will not be given permission
