Arthur Caplan is the founding head of the Division of Bioethics at New York University Langone Medical Center. Known as the 'go-to' expert on ethics, medicine and science, Dr. Caplan has long been a trailblazer in raising awareness about the ethical questions that accompany scientific and technological advances. He is the 2014 recipient of the National Science Board Public Service Award for an individual.
