Apply for our Science-Based Innovation Studios

  • Are you a Harvard student passionate about children and their early development
  • Do you believe that we can use science in innovative ways to make breakthrough impacts for children and families facing adversity?
  • Do you prefer to learn by doing
If so, then the Center on the Developing Child is looking for you. Our new Science-Based Innovation Studios are bringing teams of Harvard students together to use the latest science and human-centered design principles to develop innovative solutions for specific challenges faced by local community partners who work with children and families.

Over the course of one academic year, three student-led design teams will work with coaches from the Center to frame a design challenge relevant to the local partner, explore its root causes, generate an innovative solution, and test a prototype. Each design team will be comprised of one local partner and a team of 3 to 4 students who have been selected from a competitive pool of applicants. Apply now! The deadline for applications has been extended to Friday, September 30, 2016.
